Why is it that when a Muslim commits an act of terror,
such as the attack on the Jewish Federation building in Seattle, Muslim leaders deny any connection between the act and their faith? It's just a 'disturbing incident' or 'random' event. Nope...no relation to Islam at all.
How can they bury their heads in the sand and deny the obvious? Jeff Siddiqui, a Seattle Muslim leader, seems to do this quite often. And most recently he wrote
a letter to a Jewish newspaper kind of apologizing for the horrible act of a Muslim man. But it's not really an apology, at least I don't read it that way.
"...the mindless act of cruelty by a hate-filled man..." Really? Mindless? I don't think so. It was premeditated and planned. He was fully aware of his actions and stated them clearly to all who listened that day. And it seems to me that there's a lot of hate filled men (and probably women, but who'd know since they're just property) in Islam. Now and in the past. How he can not see this?
And it's not just extremists who hate. They are the ones who act on that hate...but it is the 'normal' people walking down the street. Take a look at
this post on My Own Side ... scroll down to the 5th photo. Just your average Joe walking down the street with his kid. You won't see that on the news. Just your every day Jew hater taking a walk.
And the photo above that is almost as disturbing. Equating the "random" violence that took the life of a Jewish woman and the blood of five others with the acts of Israel to defend itself against the threat of extermination. Sure...it's the same thing...all violence is the same, right?
It boggles my mind.
